More Bread

Spelt-Wheat-Buns
I'm on the bread trip now. After some not so nice bread baking experiences, I had to prove (to myself that is) that it is possible to make really nice AND good tasting bread at home.

For sure the "Semmeln", mentioned in an earlier post, made up for everything.
Here are Spelt-Wheat-Buns:
Their taste is also nice, they scream for butter and jam.

INGREDIENTS
250 g wheat flour
250 g spelt flour (white, not wholemeal)
15 g yeast
250 ml milk water mix
2 tsp salt
1 tsp runny honey

1 tsp corn starch mixed with 1 tbsp water

Dissolve the yeast in the milk water mix together with the honey. Let stand for 15 mins, then add it to the remaining ingredients and knead the dough.
Let rest for 15 mins and knead. Repeat 3 times. Form buns and put them on the baking tray. Brush them with the starch-water. Make a incision on top with a sharp knife. Let rest for 30 mins. Bake in preheated oven (220°C) with a cup of water for about 15 mins (depends how big you made the buns).
