Thanks to our new friends, we had some really TOP culinary experiences during our 4 day trip to Morocco (Fez). All the fruits and vegetables are sooo good there... the African sun makes the difference! Have you ever tried an Avocado milkshake? I just can say wow! Those people really know how to eat and indulge!
It all started with a very luxurious breakfast including mint tea, coffee, cakes, bread, argan oil, honey, sweets, etc.
After a quick sightseeing tour, lunch already waited for us!
Couscous with beef and vegetables |
Chicken with olives |
The next day we went for a tour to Casablanca, where we also started to celebrate our first seven years together!
Starters |
Tahin - Beef, dried apricots and plums, peanuts |
Olive market Casablanca |
In the evening we came back to Fez and we immediately had a dinner waiting:
Salad |
Tahin - Beef, dried plums, almonds |
Pastilla |
Ice cream cake |
A great big THANK YOU and SHUKRAN to Ismail's family for the extraordinary hospitality to us total strangers!
These are our souvenirs from Morocco: ;-)) Please disregard the Clipper teabag ;-)) Unfortunately the mint tea doesn't taste at all like in Morocco... the sweets pictured are the "Emperor's candies" - and gave us quite a hard time to digest!
